The various materials are used for making the clay model for animation.
The character is designed on paper and correspondingly drawn on thermocol.
The design is made in different views before being sculpted.
The volume of the character is defined by carving the thermocol.
Aluminium wire is used to connect the volumes and make limbs.
Details like fingers are added and m-seal used to strengthen.
The character is covered with doctor’s tape.
Miniature clothes are made according to the character.
The clothes are put on the character.
The character is covered with clay and eyes are made using beads.
The set is made for character to interact in the animation film.
This is the final look in when the character is used for animation.

Clay animation uses characters which are deformable. These are shot frame by frame to give the illusion of movement. The models are made using a malleable substance like Plasticine clay. The basic volumes using thermocol, joined with aluminium wires for movable appendages. This skeleton is strengthened and covered with clay.
