Street foods are ready-to-eat foods and beverages prepared and/or sold by vendors and hawkers, especially in streets and other similar public places. This definition is from the Food & Agricultural Organization.

Project Rationale

Street foods scenario in India is mostly un-organized and has lot of verticals in which it could be potentially improved upon to attract a lot more customers and become a global talk point. Be it from design perspective or a compliance perspective.

Indian Street Food

Indian street foods are extraordinary places which bring together all classes of people from different age groups and people who speak different languages. These street foods also serve as the main source of nutrition for many low-income people who depend on these street foods, as they are cheaper in comparison to restaurants. There are thousands of different street foods available across India.

Objectives of the Project

1. To make a global brand out of Indian street food.

2. To raise health and safety standards of street foods.

3. To reduce instances of street foodborne diseases.

4. To help street vendors improve the quality of offerings, attract more clients and earn more.

5. To enable street food operators to move in life.

6. To transform lives of millions of people at bottom of the pyramid.
