There are several organizations and communities working for the welfare of the colony. Some of those include:

1. ‘Bhule Bisre Kalakar Trust’:
This was formed to protect and promote the interests of the artists living in the colony.

2. ‘House of Puppets’:
This non-governmental organization promotes Kathputli’s traditional performers and trains the next generation of puppeteers.
