The stark beauty of Ladakh lures visitors across the world to experience the serenity, tranquility and spirituality in its absolute form. This “Little Tibet” is known for its colorful culture, which has its own unique charm. The main bazaar of Leh busts with activity, well stocked, glass front modern stores selling traditional and modern products.

The market is full of Tibetan handicraft items including prayer wheels, Buddhist masks and Thangka paintings, Tibetan silver jewelry and traditional Ladakhi jewelry. Most of artifacts are not locally made but are brought by vendors from Srinagar, Nepal and Tibet.

Generally, market is full of souvenir goods from Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and has different flavors from Indian states. Normal day-to-day vegetable & fruits are sold at the local markets in the inner parts of Leh.
