According to report published by National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) in August 2017, almost one in every four households in our country taking loans to meet their medical expenses. Medical debts are the second biggest factor for keeping millions in poverty.

On the other hand privileged people in our society who have easy access to medicines are not able to keep the track of their leftover medicines due to their busy lifestyles. Gradually these stockpiled medicines are being thrown away which leads to at least 50% of medicine wastage per year due to trashing of stockpiled unused medicines.

These are two extreme ends of this harsh reality in India. Henceforth, there lies a need to bridge this gap between surplus for privileged people and need of the poor.

Through this project I am trying to propose a platform that can combine with pharmacies, government hospitals and other entities and could facilitate donation drive through it using which people could share unused medicines with the needy people. The aim of the project is to improve medicine usage in the current scenario, thereby making people associated with the system actively volunteer and contribute more to the cause and help improve the life of underprivileged part of our society.
