Mirrors are versatile and are used in our everyday life. Mirror key chain making was inspired by the mirror work of the Lambani/ Banjara community. Banjara also known as Lambani is one of the people from the Gypsy community. Embroidery is an essential part of the traditional costumes of the nomadic Banjara community.

As mirror work on their dresses reflected and brought a glitter effect to their dress material, hence they are specially made for their daughters for their wedding. They have adopted the same technique in another manner like making key chains of various sizes and shapes. Key chains are generally small chains made from plastic, or metal that attach a small item to the key ring. The different coloured pattern key chains helps an individual in recognizing different keys used within a house or organization.
