When you get your picture taken, everyone says, “Say cheese! Smile!” So you open your mouth and show your teeth. When you see the image, you see a happy person looking back at you. The healthier those teeth are, the more comfortable you look.

It’s because your teeth are essential in many ways. If you take care of them, they’ll help take care of you. Strong, healthy teeth help you chew the right foods to help you grow. They allow you to speak clearly. And yes, they help you look your best.

Importance of Oral Health From Childhood
Oral health care should begin with the very first tooth that grows in a baby’s oral cavity. Even though these teeth will fall out within a few years, baby teeth hold a space for the child’s permanent ones, and the child must have a healthy mouth when those permanent teeth arrive. Without proper care, even baby teeth can decay and cause a lot of problems, including Painful teeth and gums, Difficulty chewing, eating, sleeping, Gum disease, inflammation, and Embarrassment when talking and smiling. Primary teeth, also known as “baby teeth” or “deciduous teeth,” begin to develop beneath the gums after six months of pregnancy. Teeth begin to emerge above the gums approximately six months to one year after birth. Typically, preschool children have a complete set of 20 baby teeth – including four molars on each arch. Children need strong and healthy teeth to chew food properly, speak clearly and have a good-looking smile. Their first teeth also help make sure their permanent or adult teeth will come correctly. It’s important to start good oral care to help protect their teeth for decades to come.
