Interstate Stone Sculpting Camp was held at The Dravidian University, organized by Karnataka  Shilpakala Academy. The camp was for fifteen days, and the Shilpakala academy sends its own recognized twenty sculptors to sculpt the statue with ten senior Sculptors and ten junior sculptors. Different types of cement sculpting, stone carving, fiber casting, and metal casting are being organized in different states of India by Shilpakala academy. There was a reborn of Shilpakala academy for the modern age to get the past back to the present age. We were able to find all the stone carving and sculptures were sculpted by ancient people in the temples and historical places. Shilpakala started to choose and pick the most skillful and trained sculptor or artists to show out their best work on the present status to change the trend.

Basavanna was a Lingayat saint in the Shiva-focused Bhakti movement. During the 12th century, he was a Hindu philosopher, statesman, Kannada poet, and social reformer during the reign of the Kalachuri dynasty king Bijjala 1 in Karnataka, India. He spread social awareness through his poetry, popularly known as Vachanaas. A senior Sculptor named Mr. Umaesh Lakshman Dandin from Bagalkot has completed almost four camps with Shilpakala academy. Junior Sculptor called Mr. Manu. S from Mysore is working as an artist for seven years. They sculpted the statue of Basavanna in 15 days.
